The Iowa Cornsong
“Cornsong” refers to the Iowa Corn song, considered by many old timers in Iowa as the unofficial State Song. Yes it is a corny song, but—hey—how appropriate. Even more so it is a corny name for this site. But at least you don’t have to explain to folks how to spell it.

When I searched for musical versions of the Iowa Corn Song to put on this site, I did not find any. Also there does not seem to be anywhere on the internet a collection of songs about Iowa.
So as a fun project I propose to all local musicians the following “Cornsong Challenge”:
Come up with your version of the Iowa Corn Song that I can record and post on this site—or alternatively a version of any song about Iowa.
